A. While planning a trip to China, the visa topic always comes first and seriously. Please check with Chinese embassies in your countries or the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) that serves your residence area for your visa application details at your earliest convenience.


B. The National Immigration Administration announced today that the transit visa-free policy has been comprehensively relaxed and optimized. The duration of stay for foreigners under the transit visa-free scheme has been extended from the original 72 or 144 hours to 240 hours (10 days). Additionally, 21 new ports have been designated as entry and exit points for transit visa-free travelers, expanding both the number of accessible ports and the areas where activities can be conducted. Nationals from 54 countries, including Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada, who are transiting through China route to a third country or region, can now enter China visa-free via any of the 60 open ports across 24 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government), staying and conducting activities within the prescribed area for up to 240 hours. The newly added ports include Taiyuan Wusu International Airport in Shanxi Province, Sunan Shuofang and Yangzhou Taizhou International Airports in Jiangsu Province, Wenzhou Longwan and Yiwu International Airports in Zhejiang Province, Hefei Xinqiao and Huangshan Tunxi International Airports in Anhui Province, Fuzhou Changle, Quanzhou Jinjiang, and Wuyishan International Airports in Fujian Province, Nanchang Changbei International Airport in Jiangxi Province, Jinan Yaoqiang, Yantai Penglai, and Weihai Dashuibo International Airports in Shandong Province, Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport in Hunan Province, Nanning Wuxu and Beihai Fucheng International Airports in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Haikou Meilan and Sanya Phoenix International Airports in Hainan Province, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in Sichuan Province, and Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Guizhou Province. The total number of applicable open ports has increased from 39 to 60.
